On Friday, April 15th the Wrighton Lab showed up in force at the 2022 Front Range Microbiome Symposium held in Canvas Stadium at CSU. Lab members presented 6 posters and gave 2 contributing talks. PhD candidates Bridget McGivern and Ikaia Leleiwi seized first place for best contributing talk and best poster respectively.
CSU SPUR is a place for the public to come and learn about all the exciting research going on at CSU. The Wrighton Lab’s very own Katherine Kokkinias and Lady Grant are shown here demonstrating strawberry DNA extraction alongside an insect observation display. Katherine and Lady are here representing Graduate Women in Science.
Arsen Yerlan (Soil and Crop Science ’22) was featured in an Outstanding Grad highlight by CSU College of Agricultural Sciences. Sen was a star student in Kelly’s Soil Microbiome course (SOCR 455) and Undergraduate Research course (SOCR 481) and has been working on a Microbiology Resource Announcement this Fall with the lab.
